Your Story Discovery Workbook
Your story deserves the big screen.
This workbook was created to help us discover the heart of your story before we begin developing your documentary.
You do not need to be a writer. You do not need perfect answers. And you do not need to make your story sound more dramatic, successful, painful, or inspiring than it actually was.
We want the truth.
The moments that changed you.
The decisions nobody saw.
The seasons when you questioned yourself.
The things you survived quietly.
The risks you took.
The woman you had to become.
Because sometimes the most powerful story isn't the biggest tragedy. Sometimes it is the moment a woman decided:
"My life cannot continue this way."
Your answers will help our team understand your journey and begin shaping your story into a powerful short documentary for Glow on the Big Screen.
Before You Begin
Give yourself time and privacy to answer these questions. Don't answer as the successful woman you are today. Go back. Remember what you thought. What you felt. What you feared. What you didn't tell anyone. The details matter.
If a question brings up a memory, follow it. If something makes you emotional, don't immediately move away from it. There may be a story there.
A few rules:
- Be honest.
- Be specific.
- Don't worry about grammar.
- Don't try to impress us.
- Include the messy parts.
- Include the beautiful parts.
- Tell us what happened behind the scenes.
- Whenever possible, describe actual moments rather than general ideas.
We are not looking for perfection. We are looking for truth.
